UK. Transgender. AuDHD. MH. Definitely ANTIFA. May be a bit sweary when angry, stressed, or talking about politics. Doesn't send cash to strangers. The lesser of two evils is still evil.

Great moments in Conservative Party History.
Part 38 of an occasional series.
The romantic photo of 2019 capturing the moment when Prime Minister Boris Johnson showed his wife Carrie his spaffing machine whilst proposing to her on the steps of St Paul’s Cathedral.

A 654% price cut? Wow, that’s amazing maybe next he’ll announce gravity is down 900%. At this point, 🍊💩’s math is less about economics and more about pure fantasy like he’s trying to outbid reality itself.
Trump: As an example one particular drug that's hot, very hot. 654% on inhalers... They will be averaging 654% reduction in price. Can you believe it?
lan Gillespie @IanRGillespie
No, I cannot believe the price of this medication will be reduced by 654% since it's mathematically impossible to reduce the price of anything by more than 100%

Trump announces a 654% reduction in prescription prices. Great news! If you usually pay $200, you'll now get a $1,108 refund. Dictators always promise miracles
—they just never deliver math that works.

One Richard Tice comes to mind multi-millionaire who spends his time in Dubai while holding a part-time role as an MP and claiming a full-time salary, and has taken upon himself to speak for the ordinary people just like his mate Farage. It’s more fool’s those who fall for these snake oil salesmen.

Today, the counterprotesters have started giving out leaflets.

This is because yesterday they managed to talk someone out of going to FiLiA, and they felt that leaflets could communicate such messages more effectively.

They have also started giving out stickers promoting trans joy.
FILIA calls itself "Europe's largest feminist conference."

In reality, it is a hub for all the worst and most authoritarian politics that hides under the feminist label. FiLiA's approach is not feminist, it is cruel, rigid, and hurts the people most vulnerable under patriarchy.

Anti-trans politics

FILIA advertises more events and speakers which focus on transgender people than any other topic. This includes a workshop for individuals to learn how to set up groups to exclude transgender people, and an event celebrating the recent supreme court ruling that threatens to push trans people out of public life, and has already increased harassment and violence faced by trans people.

Real feminists understand that transphobia is a manifestation of patriarchy, and that liberation for women cannot be seperated from liberation for trans people.

Anti-sex work politics

FiliA advocates the Nordic Model - where selling sex is legal but buying it is a crime. Compared to completely decriminalising sex work, the Nordic Model results in less abuse being reported, and more sex workers being targetted by police.

Opposing adult content online, including in video games

FILIA signed a recent petition that resulted in hundreds of video ga being banned from online distributors, and have invited the organ Collective Shout to speak at the conference. This goes against TRANS artistic freedom.

We can, all of us, debate til the cows come home, the merits of direct action against property in Brighton.

But that horse has bolted.

It is the usual storm in a teacup, and stand by for multiple finger-wagging op eds from the usual suspects.

I wrote about it in 2018, but it's an issue so fiercely defended by social silence that I found it impossible to get any traction. It's one of those occasions on which everyone thinks you've gone mad, as the alternative is to recognise that the system is mad.

If insurers believe the liability arises through malfeasance or deception by their clients, they would then either seek to recover the money or return the liability to the client. It would not be the get-out-of-jail free card it is today.

Limited liability is one of our weird silences. It's a massive free gift society makes to plutocrats, seldom remarked upon, let alone contested.
Shareholders should have to buy limited liability, like any other insurance. The insurers would then be liable. 🧵

Ever since I finished Question Time, Reform have massively been on the attack.

Including a rant from Richard Tice entirely designed to distract from Reform and Russia.

Everyone should know about Nathan Gill, the bribes from Russia and the link to Reform.

Just so we're clear.

Any party who tells you who you can love, what gender you are, which books you can read, what history you can learn, what prayers you can offer, what you can say, where you can piss, what you can do with your own body ...

Doesn't believe in freedom.

And Jesus isn't seeing Charlie, who is burning in hell.

We should have taken the gloves off dealing with the blatant religious interference in our Government years ago. I know they're Hypocrites and pedophiles, too, but enough.

IPS employment specialists already exist. Before people melt down, it's not compulsory & people request their support.

It's unfortunate that the Work & Pensions Secretary appears to be unaware of the fact.
