A lot of limited releases now have open pre-orders and you can buy them at retail for several years now, so they weren't that exclusive

I few MacOS releases back I upgraded day 1 and my external Sternberg audio interface I use every day for recording voice overs just stopped working. No drivers and I had to rush to buy something new. That was a real wake up call to just wait a few weeks to make sure it doesn’t destroy my workflow.
