What does that mean, "too cool for etsy"? Like, are they cracking down on fan merch for certain licences? Whoaaa!

I've been growing heritage squash and you bet I'm gonna steal this idea.

Here's a number of in-progress images. Sizing up a small plushie pattern isn't always straightforward. I had to make some changes to the pattern so round parts are appropriately round, reimagine the feet, stuff the ears differently, etc.
A photo of me wearing Toriel's head. I'm also wearing a fruitilicious apron, Toriel slippers, and wielding a whisk and rolling pin. If I had the Toriel apron and Toriel oven mitts on each hand, I would be the perfect Toriel hydra. A 'papercraft' of Toriel's head pattern, held together by pins. I received the pattern from the factory, and then I increased the size and made adjustments. And then I tested it with papercraft before I committed to cutting fabric. Toriel skin. Okay, true talk, I caught a real Toriel, skinned her, and turned that skin into a plushie.

Are y'all watching the Undertale 10th anniversary stream? undertale.com/10/ I made the big Toriel up for donation! It is basically a bigger version of the small Toriel plushie available for sale from Fangamer. You can win her if you donate a bunch!
A frontal picture of the big Toriel plushie I made. Her emblem isn't entirely embroidered because it's too big for my embroidery machine, so the white outline is sewn in. A side view of my big Toriel plushie. She was very huggable. A bottom view of the big Toriel plushie, showing her bare bottom. I proposed making bloomers for her at first, but that idea was shot down.

Oh! I enjoy how the framing looks like Little Samus is looking up at Big Samus's shadow, at what she will become in the future.

The Monster Kid plushie is adapted from a plush I made for a personal project. One interesting change is that we used knit instead of sewing fleece together to form stripes. I'm not familiar with the limitations of knit production, so it required some compromises and experimentation to make it work.
My original Monster Kid plushie, sitting in the snow. There's a lot of differences from the official plushie. They're bigger, they have a fleece shirt, their legs are yellow, and their facial features are all hand embroidered and hand appliqued. My Monster Kid plushie prototype before they have their features sewn in. I used pins and paper to position where their mouth, eyes, and nostrils should go. A picture of five curved strips of fabric. When sewn together, they form the stripes on Monster Kid's shirt, which is basically a cone. A drawing for the manufacturers, showing them potential options for Monster Kid's shirt pattern. As it turns out, stripes on manufactured knit can only be formed in straight lines, so we can't form the conical shape with stripes that would best suit Monster Kid's armless body. As a compromise, we made the shirt pattern into two pieces and put seams on the sides.

The Curly plushie from Fangamer has been revealed! I claim (take) responsibility for most of the creative work that brought him into being. And I wrote about it on my website! For lots of behind-the-scenes photos and insights, check it out here: www.metroidhat.com/ridley/curly...
A banner showing the Curly plushie kinda just lying there. The text says I TAKE RESPONSIBILITY (For the Curly plushie)

I claim partial responsibility for Fangamer's latest travesty. Trucy's Magic """Bag""" is a shorts pattern in essence. Here are some of my prototype pictures and factory instructions.
A picture of my """bag""" prototype dangling by the cinched up drawstring. Instead of the printed stripes and appliqued hearts of the real article, this prototype has a plain blue fabric body. Lace was used at the bottoms instead of ruffled minky. Sure looks scrotal, doesn't it. Here's some early drawn concepts for the factory to follow. They outline a lot of the specifics that go into the """bag"""'s construction. Like what parts should be printed or appliqued, what materials to use, and how the drawstring is to behave. When we moved away from a lace bottom, I made a ruffled edge sample to show how it can be done.

just want everyone to know that my company, where we have like 401k's and management structure and careers, just released its latest product

Could I humbly request that Dropout's social media cools it on videos with so many spoilers, especially so close to an episode's airing date? I'm going out of my way to avoid these posts so I don't ruin any fun surprises before I've had a chance to watch the episode. Thanks for your consideration!

Went to the Earthbound USA screening in Vancouver and saw Jazzy and Robbie on the big screen!

I'mma going! Maybe find some local Earthbound fans to forge a new relationship with and together we'll build a game merch empire this side of the border.

Y'all better believe that I've designed/prototyped plushies for some of these upcoming games.

I prototyped the recently released Jormungandr puppet from Fangamer! Or at least a wacky colored baby version of him.
The first prototype of the Jormungandr puppet. He's tropical orange and raspberry red colored. Plus his tail is a stubby little thing. My hand is inserted in a pouch at his neck which allows me to manipulate his mouth. Another pic of the prototype Jormungandr puppet, showing his open mouth. He only has one set of jaws at this point. Here's a pic of the inner lining of Jormungandr turned inside out. The geometry of his body was challenging to tackle, because the inner lining has to allow for your hand to stick into and has to connect to certain parts of the exterior. It also must allow stuffing to pass through in certain areas, all while keeping in mind that the factory must be able to manufacture the puppet in a logical manner. It felt like I was making two plushies at the same time which were ouroboros'ed inside each other. Proto and production sample of Jormungandr about to make out. You can see a ton of improvements in the production version, like cool blue scaled fabric, mesmerizing safety eyes, and a touch of thread sculpting between the nostrils to bring a bit more dimension to his schnoz.

Oh heck, you too got married on Feb. 29th?? Isn't it the best idea!?

Don't act so smug, as if you're any better.

It was indeed a bad idea! They woke me up with their scratching in the early morning.

My husband's out of town, so there's room on his side of the bed for two chickens to sleep. Is this a bad idea?

In the search page, there's an option to exclude crossovers. Works just fine for me~

The Corrupted Storch plushie from Signalis is available at Fangamer! Despite how simple it looks, it has a deceptively complicated construction. That's because the stripes are actually cones, with each strip of fabric curved slightly differently in order to achieve a soft tapered candy-corn shape.
Four pictures of my Storch plushie prototype. Imagine if you will... a hunched potato body with a tapering, striped carrot head and stumpy striped legs. And it's in light green, pink, and orange candy colors. Because this is a prototype meant to show construction, it doesn't have to be game accurate and I can use whatever colors I want!

Here's the Broken Vessel prototype, from the Hollow Knight game. This plushie presented unique balancing and asymmetry challenges, as I wanted to preserve their hunched, sickly in-game posture. The second picture includes an even earlier prototype, when they had a more tentacle-like body.
Four pictures of the Broken Vessel character plushie. They are a hunched-over jar-headed bug with a cape, curved horns, and a huge bulbous mass of orange infection growing out their head. They have weighted pellets in their body and legs sticking straight out, which greatly help them from tipping over. The earlier version of Broken Vessel is pictured alongside the final prototype for comparison. Instead of a body and cape, their body is simply a kinda stump from which leg-tentacles extrude. Originally, I was instructed to make their body like the Shade plushie, just with more tentacles. I suppose the idea was that it simplified BV's body, so we didn't have to make the whole complicated body and cape. Well, sometimes it's best to do things without any shortcuts. So I went rogue, design-wise, and made the body and cape without further oversight and was like "Here! What do you think??"
