Loads of lightning as an active front moves up the South Island 🌩

Westland has an Orange Heavy Rain Warning until 1pm today (Thursday)

Canterbury High Country and foothills have an Orange Strong Wind Warning until 5pm

For those in the South Island, wet conditions will persist but should begin to ease later in the day.

For the start of the week we have a front moving up the eastern half of the Islands, bringing some spits and spots across rooftops. Meanwhile, conditions are mainly fine elsewhere.
Wet weather just gets in before midnight for the southwest portion of the South Island on Tuesday.
