Having a desktop computer room was a great way to separate online and the real world. We don’t need feeds we need a list of websites we like written on a post it on the computer cabinet.

As someone who isn’t on bad terms with their conservative parent but only in that they have no filter around me despite knowing my politics I’ve always felt like I had a window into their world view that isn’t entirely performative talking points at the dinner table.

I was so bothered during the first Trump administration that comedians would get up on stage and vent about the administration. I didn’t like “please clap” type comedy sets where you say agreeable things instead of a thought out set.
Anyway I feel like I could really use an open mic to vent.
