A bit like

POlizei

Aka, Gestapo.
Jesus wept.
Words fail. A mother was shot in the face and KILLED by a law enforcement agent. “We’ve seen a few videos from passers by taken on iPhones and we’re perfectly happy”.
You guys used to be a serious country. 😔

Never in history has the ones in masks demanding people’s papers been the good guys.

The embodiment of the Dunning-Kruger effect.

So because you label something illegal your “signature economic policy” it suddenly becomes legal?
You guys used to be a serious country.

“Lebensraum”

They said “invade”. But the tariff blackmail is no different. It’s the same aggression, greed and disrespect to long standing allies. Allies who sent their young men to die in Afghanistan in support of the US after the 9/11 attacks. The anger here in Europe is palpable.

To be fair, when did he last articulate anything?
January 18, 2026 at 4:12 PM
“You got some nice economies over there in Europe. Be a shame if anything happened to them”.

Spoiler alert mate:

We won’t.

The jobs these people occupy are at the highest level in a very powerful country. They require experience and competence. But clowns like this don’t even possess the nous and wherewithal to respond in any kind of measured manner. They double down. Every time. Because there are never consequences.

They sell their souls on a daily basis for a man who wouldn’t piss on them if they were on fire.

‘Columnists’ like him are primarily controversialists. They build a reputation and survive by spouting outlandish views, all for attention and reaction. I’m quite sure they don’t believe much of the nonsense they spout, but it pays the mortgage. Heath at the Telegraph is the same.

You have to sympathise with government ministers - of all European countries. There’s a mad man in the White House wreaking havoc on the world, but it’s America! They STILL have to walk this tightrope. I’m not sure it’s fair holding their feet to the fire.

I’ve no idea. A fucking mad man is in the White House wreaking havoc on the world. We’ve no idea what’s coming next. There has to come a point. What do you suggest?

Remember Johnson reneged on the leaders’ interviews with Neil prior to the 2019 election? His team obviously took the view that being accused of cowardice was less damaging than a mauling by a forensic interviewer. Not that Kuenssberg is that, but you get my drift. 😉

And we’re ashamed that Tяump’s mother was among the many who emigrated from Scotland to the US. 🫩.

I would not dream of going to the WC on a matter of principle, but any supporter with a brown or black face will have a more sinister reason.
January 18, 2026 at 10:11 AM
For Brits listening, I’ve subscribed to the view that Keir Starmer has had to - for the good of the nation - bite his lip and avoid antagonising Tяump. But sorry, the gloves are now off. He’s made it very clear that appeasement is pointless. It’s time to stand up to this sociopathic narcissist.

…it can ship goods via Belgium (no customs checks between EU countries). Suffice to say, the administrative costs and additional work (for all countries) on the whim of one idiotic narcissist is criminal.

It’s a ridiculous and typically cack-handed response. He’s announced tariffs on 6 out of 27 countries of the EU. The EU is a single market and has a customs union. Good luck to the US customs officials trying to work out how to apply tariffs. EG, if France wants to avoid the tariffs..

My country qualified for the World Cup for the first time in nearly 20 years. It’s a big deal for us. But I would fully support a boycott.
