🗳 From 13 Oct, members in around 100 FE branches will be balloted for industrial action.

The AoC’s 4% offer fails to fix low pay, unmanageable workloads or broken bargaining.

VOTE YES for a #NewDealForFE 💪
✅ Fair pay
✅ Manageable workloads
✅ Binding national bargaining
Vote yes

How does your recognition agreement classify your bargaining units?

It doesn’t say anything about lower grades being paid in the article. It looks like they’ve deferred the entire award. Also - what’s well-paid? the 1.4% has just saved some international staff from losing their jobs thanks Starmer’s Hostile Environment.

'Staff at some institutions will not get even get the small rise due to them because of a clause in the negotiations that allows for a delay for up to 11 months if a university is facing financial difficulties.' So far, Dundee, Kent, Brunel, Coventry, Swansea.
Five UK universities tell staff they can’t afford pay rises
Negotiations over whether to honour 1.4 per cent increase ongoing at several other institutions amid financial crunch

The shift to the right by Labour is massively unpopular (3m+ against digital ID) and we have the lowest approval for any PM ever. Their moves to suppress anti-genocide protest are desperate- unable to change course without admitting their own guilt.

Trump’s speeches are selectively edited, the more nonsensical or senile elements are not reported, only the most cogent parts, as if he wasn’t obviously incompetent and impaired. Actions of ICE don’t get reported at all.

The normalisation of US fascism by the BBC and the rest of the mainstream media has massively encouraged the far right in the UK and so the tory party is shifting into policies that would never have been considered before. #r4today #lbcnews

Reports coming out of the crews being tortured- stress positions, denial of toilets, sleep deprivation and assault - and yet NOTHING in mainstream media about this

You’re reading it wrong - there are scores if not hundreds of Jewish people at the heart of these organisations. Take the new Green Party leader and his strong statements over the past few days as just one example.
michaelabberton.bsky.social
It’s quite shocking that the Home Secretary not only equates all anti genocide protests with anti semitism, but also that there aren’t Jewish people at the heart of these protest organisations.

If you are a Labour supporter or trade unionist, you should watch this https://youtu.be/RLApab1L1-E?si=we1_2ARMPPB48fOd and ask yourself whether you can continue to support the Labour Party
michaelabberton.bsky.social
Disgusting but sadly predictable that the right would attempt to exploit the horrific terror attack in Manchester yesterday to further suppress protests against the genocide in Palestine. Badenoch’s comments are utterly despicable. #r4today #lbcnews

To earn your ‘golden ticket’, all you need to do is be tortured, raped, watch your family being murdered, threatened with execution… Its like Bullseye! #racistLabour #starmer #r4today #lbcnews

Listening to the British media, you’d think Greta Thunberg and others had been rescued by the IDF - rather than abducted during an act of piracy. #r4today #lbcnews

wake up on another day to hear another racist policy from Labour. Now they want to target refugees - people whose right to asylum has been confirmed, victims of torture, violence and oppression - to further separate them from their families and reduce ‘the pull factor’. #r4today #lbcnews

“British colonialism is to blame for this disaster. Palestinians cannot have a plan forced on them without their involvement and sanctioning.”

What? with his party making retrospective changes to Leave to Remain?

Reform is racist.
But so is Labour’s Hostile Environment, ID card plans and attack on international students.

It isn't international law which is the issue. It is politicians like Starmer demonising migrants and stripping them off rights.

When you start talking about reducing access to rights for one group you open the door for someone else to end them for others.

Starmer wants rethink on international law to tackle migration
The PM gives the clearest sign yet the government wants to reform how human rights laws are applied in immigration cases.
