It doesn’t say anything about lower grades being paid in the article. It looks like they’ve deferred the entire award. Also - what’s well-paid? the 1.4% has just saved some international staff from losing their jobs thanks Starmer’s Hostile Environment.

The shift to the right by Labour is massively unpopular (3m+ against digital ID) and we have the lowest approval for any PM ever. Their moves to suppress anti-genocide protest are desperate- unable to change course without admitting their own guilt.

Trump’s speeches are selectively edited, the more nonsensical or senile elements are not reported, only the most cogent parts, as if he wasn’t obviously incompetent and impaired. Actions of ICE don’t get reported at all.

It isn't international law which is the issue. It is politicians like Starmer demonising migrants and stripping them off rights.

When you start talking about reducing access to rights for one group you open the door for someone else to end them for others.
