Meanwhile, to Savannah and her family, it feels like being stripped naked and violated before the world. For God's sake.

The perp just needs to fucking TURN HIMSELF IN. Every moment that passes loses him any possible sympathy and increases his punishment and eventual pain.
Holy crap.

I'm sorry, but I think it very likely that poor Nancy is no longer with us and probably hasn't been for some time. She needed medication, which I doubt he took with them, and her pacemaker, which is disconnected. Her remains are in some hidden spot, returning to nature.

Obviously, it went sideways from the first. It *starts out* with an 84-year-old female victim leaving her blood at the scene. Jesus Christ. Again, ridiculous, squalid, and pathetic.
February 16, 2026 at 1:57 AM
I suppose it's possible he really thought he would snatch Nancy Guthrie quickly and painlessly, hustle her into a van, take her to a safe place, and message the family for a ransom.
February 16, 2026 at 1:56 AM
He was one of those idiots who thought that since Savannah was on TV, she must be very wealthy, so he could take her mother for a ransom.

Or, God help us, he picked up on Trump's comments about the media being enemies of the people.

My two cents on the Guthrie case:

This is all so ridiculous, squalid, and pathetic.

When I use these words, I mean no disrespect to the Guthrie family--Savannah, Nancy, or other family members. I am referring to her captor.

The guy is a complete, fucking loser.
