Whoa CTN was this past weekend and I had absolutely no clue that it was going on. Not that I was planning on going, mind you, but I’m surprised how swiftly interest dimmed these last few years since Lightbox came on the scene in retaliation. The only folks who go to CTN are older vets it seems.

Was at Knotts Berry Farm the other day and was incredibly disappointed that other than Belle, there was no other merch of any of Snoopy’s other siblings. Where’s Spike? Or Marbles? Or Snoopy’s fat brother Olaf?

Another evolutionary detour: some animals could have developed extended stalk eyes in order to follow and spot prey easier in dense brush. But they say hindsight is 20/20; 20 degrees this way, and 20 degrees that way!

Early man could've developed a more pronounced brow to prevent the sun and sweat from obscuring their vision, but it would've also led them to boulder new directions.

As it currently stands, I've got about 2 months of downtime before the next long-term production I have lined up starts rolling, so.

If you need some quick Animation Lead / Storyboard Lead work, gimme a jingle [ DM's and business email both work ]

This week's theme for my daily prompts is "Evolutionary Detours"; the potential shoulda/coulda/wouldas along the bumpy paths of nature's development. Today's is an Umbrella Bird. Practical in specific weather conditions, but on days where the wind blows it'd be too far gone.

It’s #IndieAnimationDay! Staving off the animation industry crash, I’m focusing my creative energies in 2026 into making a new short film. It’s called “The Twig Gatherer” about a little bird just trying to make a home. Ramping up a crowdfund early next year to hire folks to help me make it.

So many chefs I wanted to do, but this week really knocked me for a loop. I'll have to revisit this theme again sometime, so I'm capping off Chefs n Cooks week with a culinary master, Mung Daal from Chowder, with his Baked Crasserole!!

Took part in @peanutscollab.bsky.social and redrew a classic Peanuts strip, one of my favorites. I believe a lot of my artistic impetus is attributed to Schulz, so it's hard to not draw these characters how he himself drew them without feeling like sacrilege, so I forced myself to work differently.

I’m getting, like, 4 scam AI recruitment/job offer emails daily and of course they’re all the most uncreative messages imaginable, both in writing and in prospects.

Pixar designed Toy Story to be printed on physical film. The Disney renaissance movies were the same.

Today, it's hard to see them as they were meant to be seen. The versions on streaming and home media aren't quite the same films that ruled the '90s:
