no, i'm aware this can be done. it's rather that vite-imagetools can be configured in vite config (eg to stop it from removing exifs or to fix the default regex that ignores images with UPPERCASE file extensions) but enhancedImages plugin takes 0 params and configures vite-imagetools under the hood

at some point i realized in `npm run build` the error points to one of the svelte-generated js files and only then i could deep dive and grasp where the error was coming from

i realize this is probably on vite rather than on svelte but it sucks to run into this situation when you're unexperienced

the most unsatisfying part of this journey was that in `npm run dev` the error was something like "can't access .src of undefined" (regex not matched -> path left untouched by vite -> remained a string) and it was pointing to the <enhanced:img> in +page.svelte which made it hard to debug

yeah that's fine i'm treating svelte as a static site generator here

i eventually got it to work after realizing that case sensitive regex part, but while imagetools supports replacing the regex, enhancedimg doesn't let you pass any config down there, so in the end i'm trying to replace it whole

i was trying to make a little gallery with svelte.dev/docs/kit/ima... and it would be nice to have a bigger example working app utilizing that `import.meta.glob` snippet there

also turns out the regex for images (in both this plugin and vite-imagetools) is case-sensitive and i have .JPG files hahah

i need to learn one of those "normal" frontend frameworks because (ignoring any potential interest conflicts etc i haven't followed) svelte is excellent to work with until you run into the one edge case and now you're trying to grasp how vite plugins work

picked up forza horizon 4 again and apparently 1. the classical radio has planetes jupiter 2. i have a pagani huayra painted in rainbow flag which is super ironic cause it's terrible on turns and excellent on straights

idk if this is about what's on wikipedia but as someone who spent uni years on fediverse i think my threshold for controversy is if i see you being an overall piece of shit now you're getting yeeted and if you had a bad phase but you made a consistent recovery we'll be okay
