(3/3) Younger children ask more learning-related questions to adults, whereas older children distribute their questions more evenly between adults and themselves, highlighting age-related differences in how children ask questions and maybe engage in self-explanation effects!

(2/3) Even in less structured settings like free play, children are strategic in their question-asking behavior, choosing to ask a higher % of questions when speaking to adults compared to peers or themselves, particularly with questions that support broader learning goals!

Hi Bluesky! I'm recruiting graduate students and postdocs to launch the Visual Learning Lab with me at UC San Diego in Summer/Fall 2024!

The lab will focus on how we learn to derive visual meaning, integrating methods from developmental psychology, machine learning, & vision science.
