This is so relevant to my day-to-day thinking at @hubcitypress.bsky.social. instead of being demoralized and saying, let AI do all the publishing work and pump out more slop to boost sales, our new focus is carefully curated + clearly human created. Hence the focus on short stories, novellas, etc.

- In office downtime and after work focus on anything but excel tables drove me towards making up stories and illustrations about worlds full of dragons and gryphons.

My 5 year old nephew just offered me his entire money box for a commission of Bigfoot and Sonic hanging out 😭 I told him I’d do it for free and he literally said “No I want to pay artists!” How frickin cute the kids are alright!

Same here. Things have felt so much better for me since leaving, both in business/career and community! Two and a half years since twitter, same for IG. I don't miss either one and my mood and overall mental health are so much better for leaving them behind.
I quit the former Twitter two years ago this week, and I am here to tell you that my online life got a lot better for having left it. In two years I've not been tempted to go back, and I haven't felt any penalty in either career or community for not being there. It's nice to be here and not there.

Bluesky Support has suspended this furry congressional candidate's account for no apparent reason. They want to limit his reach and kill his campaign, presumably for not being whatever they consider "advertiser friendly". We really need to get loud about this, and not let them get away with it
