Graduate students in the Speech-Language Pathology master's program recently participated in a grand rounds-style poster presentation. In the medical academic field, a grand rounds presentation provides students with an opportunity to detail a client case, including their reasoning for selected assessments and treatment options. The presentation covers evidence-based practices, data collection, synthesizing research evidence in treatment planning, problem-solving, and related topics. After enjoying some delicious appetizers together, alumni and students engaged in conversation, gaining valuable insights and advice from each other's educational and professional experiences. Our CCO & AZCOPT Alumni and Friends packed the room at the Westin Boston Seaport District at our reception held in conjunction with the American Academy of Optometry (AAO) Academy 2025. We even got a visit from the "Founding Fathers," who welcomed everyone - such a fun surprise!

With the theme 'Inspiration for Generations,' the day featured hands-on, healthcare-related activities that gave children a glimpse into their parents' or guardians' workday.

Students from the AZ College of Podiatric Medicine recently attended All IN(clusive) Night in support of Special Olympics AZ (SOAZ). They enjoyed family-friendly activities & were inspired by stories from SOAZ athletes & supporters. Thank you to everyone who supported the event!
On Saturday, October 11, students from the Arizona College of Podiatric Medicine made the trek down to the PHX Arena in support of All IN(clusive) Night, a unique community event and fundraiser highlighting the incredible athletes of Special Olympics Arizona (SOAZ). In addition to participating in family-friendly activities, our students appreciated hearing inspiring messages and stories from SOAZ athletes, coaches, and supporters.

Please join the Midwestern Speech-Language Program for our Stroke and Aphasia Awareness Event on the evening of Wednesday, October 15th. Aphasia is a language disorder caused by damage to parts of the brain that control speech and the understanding of language.
