It's all about starting from white as the hottest point. Then, gradually getting darker flames. Yellow, orange, red, charcoal grey, then black at the very tip of the flames.

Here's where we're at so far on our cozy fall nighttime diorama. We're using the Mysterious Stranger & dog from Reaper Miniatures, a cart, ox, & miscellaneous items from WizKids, & trees from various manufacturers, along with Vallejo basing material.

This is my favorite inn to drop into a game when the players are looking for a place to sleep for the night. It has plenty of seating and a large bar along with a gathering room on the second floor. Feel free to use this in your own games.

It's not reading like that, though. The black line around it is darker than the rest of the skin. I'm not sure the audience would see it as sunlit skin. It just looks weird to me. It's like a birthmark.

I don't normally post pieces that I'm not happy with. However, I'm not happy with this one. The grey pinstripe suit didn't turn out the way I was thinking it would. I'm going to repaint the robe/cloak to a more suitable darker color. More to come on this project. Back to the beginning indeed.
