Straight party voting especially in rural areas has been devastating for local level candidates in the Democrat Party. Tip O’Neil used to tout the term, “all politic is local”. Now it seems that everything is driven by the national politics. Social media and 24/7 News has helped drive this.

Really sad to see Sherrod Brown leave the Senate. He was truly someone who put his constituents over party. He is being replaced by Bernie Moreno whose goal will be to carry out DT’s agenda. I hope Sherrod runs again in 2026!
