Technically I was wrong, as it appears that Bessent is deploying American money to prop up the Argentinian Peso, though that will stop as soon as Milei is thankfully relegated to the dust bin of history.
I predict Trump will give Argentina zippo, since Millei is going to lose the election. Trump’s already bailed out Rob Cortine and other billionaire American hedge funders with his blather blather, so there’s no reason to actually put down any real money.
Fox5 (owned by Nexstar of Jimmy Kimmel infamy), supposedly quoting SDPD, saying today‘s San Diego embarcadero march was 25,000+ is unmitigated BS. It was at least as large as the June march, which SDPD estimated at 60,000. I’d have guestimated 20-30% larger.
