Working on a new short story, "Lawn Jesus," along with drafting an autobiographically-driven op-ed about the existential dangers of evangelical Christian nationalism.

Each week, I engage in the work of deep mourning at the loss of time not spent writing. Another day gone, evaporated into the heavens. Sometimes the melancholy drives me back to the writing, and sometimes it drives me elsewhere.

Only a writer or an artist knows this burden we carry.

Appreciate your comment! I hadn’t noticed this particular technique but see it now in my photos. Very stunning. I really appreciated how he used repeating patterns—particularly skulls, understandably, & flowers—not only for larger backgrounds but even small areas of patterns. Such intricate details.

"Legacy" is one of the most deeply offensive words in contemporary American culture.

The things done in the name of #legacy: leaders might as well just fill a coffin with blood and invite people to take a nude soak in it when they appeal to legacy.
