Turns out EYES WIDE SHUT (1999) is a true story. Not idle speculation or merely Kubrickian paranoia. That movie is about the catastrophic damage that happens when one merely 'brushes up against' the powerful. It's a terrible and ugly truth and we must face it collectively and courageously.

If any other First Lady had moved out of the White House and refused to live with their husband, it would have been a huge scandal.

I won't leave my house. If I have a doctor's appointment at the VA I will go. But that is it. I live in my van at an RV park now. That is something I never did because I love to travel. I've been stopped by ICE and they were cruel.
