I'm preparing the things I need for Warm Ale and Mud.
It's the tale of Heiligsheld, a small village in Stirland.

I'm using WFB 3rd edition.

It features day to day life & tells the story of the undead menace from neighbouring Sylvania.

The humans are old citadel with no duplicates.

Sorry, what was that?

Johannes Pertwee* for Warm Ale and Mud.

Read about him here:

This won the Golden Gobbo on the Oldhammer Forum last year.
Just goes to show that fantasy is more than dudes with spikes.

*named thus as it looks like Sean Pertwee and I had to acknowledge this.

Cool. But more pressing. Is one of the notices a cat winking?

I think that realisation for me came when they started selling character models for more money due to their stats.
Same sculptors, same amount of metal as a regular rank and file chap, but more money to buy it as it was tougher.

Possibly the same time frame as you?

Cool. May I offer something that may make it even easier and look even better?

Disillusionment in what way?

You do indeed have that model. He is in the post right here. :)

Defo not in WFB 3rd, or Warhammer Armies. Possibly in White Dwarf if they were ever done for 3rd.

Fair.
Once we roll our spells that is what the wizard always has each and every game.
Don't like the spells, best buy and paint and pay the points for a new wizard then...

With the spells being the same I use these cards:

There are some very useless ones in there...

Tis why I play in setting as was around in the times of WFB 3rd edition and WFRP 1st edition. Allows for more believability and buy in as a valid setting, though I like low key fantasy so...

Ah, I mean I am aware of it, having seen them upon my return to WFB within the last few years, but I don't recall it from the day.

Wow that was a longwinded way of being a pedantic arse.

This, the more mundane the day to day of the world, the more exciting the truly fantastical can be.
I like oldhammer vibes for this, less skullz, less spikez, less demonz, less everything over the top.
Thus when you get something magical it properly stands out.

Excellent.
Love an elementalist as the magic man.
Love old models.
Love a bit of lore!

Praise be to Taal.

I am minded to think Marauder Dwarves were the best?
Mind you, to be fair, much of what Marauder did was top tier stuff.

No, :P

I think I had drifted away from WFB by the time these came out, they 4th edition onwards?
