I had to draw the image myself because my PC did not have internet access where I could search for it, nor would it for quite some time.

I’m increasingly understanding what a dinosaur I am in the ever changing Magic community, and am also finding I enjoy it immensely. 👴🏻

In 1997, I drew a pixelated Magic: the Gathering cardback in MS Paint, and then selected the image for this screensaver, making it a never-ending maze of Magic cards.

My friend has a playset of Cursed Scrolls in Japanese, which have a misprinted activation cost of 2 rather than 3, for his #Premodern deck. 😯

As an adolescent, I recall literally dreaming of discovering a trove of Magic cards, only to awaken disappointed. Sure is easier to get them now that I’m 41 years old. 😂

It’s always amazing to see the profound joy of representation in Magic.

She just learned Magic at my after school game club and was keenly interested in the character of Kaya after seeing the playmat with Kaya zapping spirits hanging on my classroom wall. I gave her the playmat and also a matching Kaldheim card binder with Kaya on it and she was thrilled.
