Yesterday at work we had a few nurses visiting for a training day, who I'd never met before. The first asked if I was the IT guy or something, and the next asked if I was a visiting counselor. I laughed because the receptionist at the school clinic I used to visit thought I was the music teacher.

A couple years ago there was a solid boom on vegan food options. My local supermarket literally had THREE different frozen vegan lasagna on offer. But over the past year it's all slowly disappeared.

I'm particularly bummed out because the frozen vegan steam buns I love seem to have also gone 😥

I recently updated my Seek profile randomly the other week and now I'm getting several cold calls each week from recruiters trying to find Nurse Practitioners for locum and permanent roles. I'm glad I'm in a high demand role but also feel like that's a bad indictment of the primary care system.

It might not have made it on your radar but some sketchy things are a foot with our current coalition government looking to overhaul health professional regulatory bodies, claiming the move "puts patients first" but looks to put profit first and remove cultural competence from professional standards
