In Wells, there is a bell that the local swans have been trained to ring since the 1800s. Their reward: a snack! Naturally, this means the swans will ring the bell all day if the rope isn't taken in.

Greyfriars-BB! It was worth getting up at an unspeakable hour to get this shot of i-BB with the statue of the eternal good boy, Greyfriars Bobby. It's said that he waited by his master's grave for 14 years (tho he took a daily break for a hot meat pie).
