How I am spending my birthday
Had a very intense travel for work week and I am exhausted, did not get much sleep or a break, with an intense schedule and meetings. Had a few hours of sleep and rest and back to work. No rest for the wicked.

Had a shitty day at work, where my confidence at what I donwas severely shaken. Only to have a former student contact me out of the blue to tell me how much he appreciated having me as a lecturer and how much I helped him to grow. I am now in tears.

With the latest UK news, it seems I have about 4 years to pack my bags. If you think it won't happen,well...Yesterday, it was Brexit, today is people with ILR, tomorrow, dual citizens. Growing up in a communist country I learnt one lesson. Nothing lasts forever. Live accordingly.

After I spent a month in a sunny, hot climate, I am now struggling to adapt being back on the UK 🌧 I usually love autumn but this year I am not ready to say goodbye ro summer yet. I qm notnready to swap my iced matcha latte to pumpkin spice late either.

Spent the day cleaning the old apartment and found some of my old tech. Both the Polaroid and diskman still work.
