the rich ones are stupid. the leftists take a bizarre tone of moral authority or an insecure position of apology with nothing in between. the gloomy ones do nothing and complain about nothing happening. every now and then you get a destructive one whose consequences are absorbed by the nearest POC

hey I got so pissed off at a 2.5hr meeting that I actually wiped out for the rest of the evening. it's now midnight. the meeting was at 3:30pm and I feel like I've just recovered. bro the existential dread of climate catastrophe cannot compare to trying to community organise with white people

sometimes my investment in something is like going over hair with a fine tooth comb, and sometimes my investment in something is more like zooming out so far that I start to reassess whether I could ever truly know what hair is, and I think Silent Hill inspires me in both directions. simultaneously!

sidebar however I think it's important to know when 'that's how I am' is actually code for 'I'm really tired' in the same way, y'know, saying 'I can't figure out this friggin riddle' is usually gamer code for 'take a break, touch some grass' and/or 'ask a friend'

it's just funny to me that I am an activist, advocate, artist, gamer - all of these things encourage transformation, improvement, the pursuit of justice or excellence or victory or experience, and yet sometimes I'll just be like 'oh that's how I am' SINCE WHEN HAS THAT STOPPED YOUUU? that thin line between validating yourself and never aspiring to be different is very fuzzy, and it's easy to overlook. but in EVERY OTHER ASPECT of my life I understand that nothing just 'is', it moves and changes. some things will always be difficult BUT they will also always be worth doing

when I used to be like 'I'm just bad at responding to text messages' I kept not responding to text messages. now that I say 'it's my responsibility to community-building to respond to text messages' I still miss some but now I respond to more of them. perspective is important I think
