Let’s revisit some images sent to me previously by Cody Steven. PPL image of a grain mount of jarosite. Jarosite (KFe3+3(SO4)2(OH)6) forms in acid-sulfate soils, and is a common product of acid-mine drainage. FOV is 2mm. #thinsectionthursday
