scopie.dev I am going to say scopie is now officially "ready for alpha" haha. Its still very early and although I am happy with the design and the three libraries ( go, js and py ) I have built. I definitely can't say its v1 ready. But definitely want to explore more.

The AI gaslighting is so real and annoying.

Dev Day 5: Going to try some actual user tracking auth anonymous tokens for now. Will swap it over to something better later.
November 13, 2025 at 7:21 AM
Dev Day 4: Another small session, but getting the watched button to work entirely by unlocking future matches without a refresh. Well partially, it adds the team but doesn't unlock that matches watched button yet.
November 9, 2025 at 8:31 PM
Dev Day 3: Small session, can now mark matches as watched and they are persisted. Need to update future matches after one is watched so you can actually progress but had some funny stuff with a missing pk on a table turning it into a view.

Dev Day 2: Got my local db seeded with two good examples of the MVP. Got some base rendering for the tournament structure, and logic around knowing if you should or should not be able to see the results of the match. Then added even knowing what teams are playing.

Dev Day 0: Exporting all my data work and chatgpt chatter to an actual project to get started. Not expecting much but hopefully something will compile and run today.

I think its about time I start a new side project. If only I knew a web designer to help me, it is my weakest skill.

I am not sure if this is just recency bias but trying to find a relatively cost effective ebike for city usage is harder then I feel it should be. Like is a low speed, ok range, one person, no cargo ebike for less then $1000 too much? Why is starting price nearly $2000.

0 for 2 in finding a bike shop for my cheap ebike to service. Looking good, looking good :|

To anyone worried about the windows 10 support, linux is great.

I find AI is good enough to give it small tasks but, on two main conditions:
1. You treat it as just a rough draft / mockup that you intend on building yourself
2. You have something you are doing in the meantime so the slowness isn't a problem

For now, I am watching anime while v0 works.

Is there like a cheap service, or like, a person, who will help promote a library or thing I built. Its like, I can build stuff, but actually promoting it is an entirely different skill set I do not possess.

Ok, did some grammar and simplification of scopie.dev, finally got scopie-py complete as well as got some much better docs for scopie-go and scopie-js. I think its time to start sharing it and seeing what happens.

My hobby is incorrectly using the abbreviations, its not my fault your "cool system" is abbreviated LMAO.

Is there an easy "native" way to build and host docs for javascript projects? JSDoc is extensive but the output is minimal, and there doesn't seem to be any "popular" themes. Go does this great, I think rust has it built in as well. Python although isn't standard has sphinx and rtd.

Side note: looking for someone to help build a side project, especially written using Go. Message me, I get quite bored after work.

github.com/miniscruff/s... ok I think this should at least be a good enough alpha test for python. Will need some more docs but happy to have it out there.

Ok, scopie-py is ready, rough around the doc edges but I think this completes the go+js+py library set for scopie. Just going to clean up some docs and stuff and I should be good to start promoting it.

Split keeb + Ghostty + Zellij + Neovim = I can be really annoying when asking for advice on how to setup your local environment.

Spent a few hours getting scopie-py kicked off with the majority of the work done and v0.1.0 published. Going to finish it off soon. Also made the scopie terms a little easier to follow in alpha04.

github.com/miniscruff/v... Initial release of my validation library is up. Going to add some badges and a contributing guide and call it a day. Not too many validations built in yet but enough to get started I think.
