Today's forecast is serving peak winter energy.
With all the snow & wind, it’s crucial to keep all exterior vents — furnace, dryer, & gas appliance vents — fully cleared of snow & ice. Blocked vents can cause dangerous carbon monoxide buildup, so take a moment to check them. ⚠️

When your alarm sounds —do you know what it’s saying?

4 quick beeps typically means CO is detected. Get outside and call 911.

Always read the manufacturer’s instructions for your specific alarm model. The sound patterns and meanings may differ slightly.

Starting January 1, 2026, CO alarms must be installed:
🛌Adjacent to each sleeping area.
🏠On every storey of the home without a sleeping area.

If your home has a fuel-burning appliance, fireplace, or attached garage, these rules apply to you.

The symptoms of CO poisoning often mimic the flu — headache, nausea, dizziness, confusion, fatigue — but without fever.

If your alarm sounds or symptoms appear, get outside immediately and call 911.
