hi hello. i am making this mutual aid post because i have been through a very horrible few months with medical shit. TL;DR will be in replies, and images have alt text. anything at all helps, especially sharing or boosting this post. i greatly appreciate all the support from everyone.
AUGUST SUCKED
n here's why! (TLDR in Caption!!)
(also why im asking for help)
ni hello my name is Joe, as many of you may know! i have a lifelong chronic disability called ulcerative pancolitis - it is an inflammatory bowel disease. with proper care and medication plans people with UC can have a pretty normal quality of life... but when things don't work out it can be a medical disaster, and very dangerous if left untreated.
symptoms differ from patient to patient. my recent flare started in early july, i was having very bloody stool, fatigue, and my whole body was in excruciating pain. i could barely stand up or get out of bed some days. so, i went to my care team and tried to get into recovery... 2 WEEKS TOTAL i spent inpatient at the hospital. after a few days of my initial treatment plan, my doctors urged me to go to the ER. turns out i was bleeding pretty severely internally. i was using the bathroom 15-20 times a day and only passing blood. they also discovered i have a completely separate issue, and diagnosed me with IIH (idiopathic intercranial hypertension), which causes me to have vision spots, dizziness and debilitating headaches. after two failed spinal taps they decided it was too much trauma for my body to handle, so that was being treated on the side.
after i had a flexsig (they were digging in my butt) they deduced i had extensive damage to the left part of my colon. i was actively shedding parts of it out into my stool. FUN! i was also dangerously anemic because of this, so a blood transfer was done. basically i was very sick and losing a lot of blood every day for weeks, and didn't even know it.
i was administered infliximab, a new-ish type of medication for UC and other autoimmune diseases, twice. so far i have been recovering well, but for two months i have been out of work, and thus without income because PMFLA sucks. not to mention i moved out of my apartment 1 day after my discharge SO....... i’m asking for help to cover the cost of groceries, rideshares to my follow up appointments and many tests, and saving up for rent + other home necessities. i put this off forever because i wasn't expecting PMFLA to take so long to confirm that yes, i was extremely sick and couldn't work while pieces of my colon were coming out of my butt, but here we are!

i will be taking support through my venmo!

my current goal is $1400 in total after calculating the cost of everything - with additional help to save for a new apartment at the end of the year. anything at all helps, even sharing this post to get a further reach will help immensely. i seriously appreciate any support i get during this time, and also the support i got when i was suffering. thank you, I love you. from me, chad & willow… THANK YOU!

I'm so annoyed with Junpei's hair but... soon... I still have to draw their third... also Akane's pin design ended up changing for better readability! In the final version, her text is there. Debating holding an interest check when I have more ideas! #zeroescape999 #ZeroEscape
Two cropped in circles meant to be badge drafts for Akane Kurashiki and Junpei from Zero Escape. They are both facing forward with a mildly surprised (Junpei) and a happy (Akane) Expression.

i might try to go for the entire cast with these but absolutely no promises on that front, I do want to draw one for each character though.

Drafts for charms #ZeroEscape #ZeroEscape999 #ZeroEscapeVLR #9hours9persons9doors #Virtue’sLastReward #AkaneKurashiki #ZeroEscapePhi
Three different drawings in one image. to the very left is a chibi depiction of Akane Kurashiki from Nine hours, Nine Persons, Nine doors. To the center and right are depictions of Phi in Virtue’s Last Reward and Zero Time Dilemma respectively. Akane had a cheerful expression with big eyes, while both Phis seem mildly upset and are posed to account for space.
