I use Vegas Pro when I need to open an editor, it's what I used back in college so I have muscle memory, it's sometimes available for cheap on the Humble Bundle Store

But today if I was starting from scratch I'd go with Davinci Resolve. That one's free and more powerful

Like literally this is the coolest thing ever, I've been refining it since yesterday and it's working really well right now.
