Shocked to be in my 84th year. Lifelong blue voter, though I don't post or comment about politics, just cats, nature, photos, gardens, food. Buddhist, lapsed meditator, but still trying (often failing) to live the teachings of the Dhamma. Go Ducks!
Pinned
I see a lot of new followers recently, mostly politically-oriented. Am I on a starter list for blue voters? If you are wondering why I haven't followed you back, I do not post about politics and will not follow people who do. I prefer not to be on any starter lists. It's not personal.
DANG, but I've had a rough few days dealing with Windows 11! It and my genealogy program were not properly speaking to one another. Chatted with a Dell tech for close to an hour this morning and it's working again. I HATE Win11. Still ready to buy a Mac, maybe soon. I'm too old for this 💩.

Any computer people know of a good Dropbox-like system for keeping a few files safely off my computer but NOT syncing? Dropbox is driving me crazy with this.

During yesterday's out-of-sorts time period. He usually doesn't notice if I encroach with camera here, but he was jittery about something or other. He's back to normal today, sleeping in his basket. Happy #WhiskersWednesday, everyone.

Somebody’s having a rough afternoon and evening. All stressed out about something, taking a break from zooming to rest in his tunnel and keep his eyes on me. Good night everyone.

Morning walk. I went out early to beat rain that’s coming soon. Almost at freezing, though.

Foggy and damp morning walk. It was good to get out. I’ve been freaked out with computer-related stuff so I needed it.

Spencer and I wish everyone a Happy Valentine, and Happy #Caturday. He apologizes for his mom's poor editing skills.

I was wandering the garden area earlier, soaking up some sunshine, and spotted these beauties in a neighbor’s box. Spring is coming.

Even the turtles came out to enjoy the sunshine today!

Woman, how many times have I told you to get that phone out of my face?! There will be consequences. #WhiskersWednesday

One more. Tonight’s sunset framed by the window. #AlphaberChallenge #WeekFforFramed.

This chair is not wide enough for me! The boy likes to stretch, and has suddenly decided he likes this chair for his afternoon nap.

Sleeping it off after a rough night with little sleep. His own fault! He freaked out when I got up at 9pm to read because I couldn’t sleep. Zoomies! We both got to sleep around midnight, and of course up at 3am.

The sun hadn't quite reached the little greenhouse when I was out there, but everything survived the rains quite nicely. Peas are growing. The transplanted kale (2nd photo, top) and lettuce (two larger seedlings) are all happy. #Garden

@jen-bookfreedom.bsky.social Good morning, Jen. Didn't you once say that your family was from Toccoa, GA? Was it another town? I could swear I ran across the Langston name in my genealogy research, but can only find two and not in GA. Was it a different name? Or am I losing what was left of my mind?

Lazy afternoon for Spencer. He got up once to eat, then zonked out again. Not sure I’ve ever seen him so comfortable in that chair. Many different positions involved.

Stunning? Not totally, not in any single photo. The deep blue color, however, is always stunning. Crater Lake, 2009. #SundayStunday

Getting a little mom-time this morning, with scritches and cuddles. Happy #Caturday! Everything else comes to a stop at times like this.

Bright, bright, sunshiny day today. Last one for awhile with rain coming, but we need the rain so that’s OK.

A different kind of forest for #ForestFriday. A rather scraggly tangle of twisted trees along a trail in a coastal forest just north of Florence, OR. I was fascinated by that forest and have many photos.

Opted for a different walk to the ponds today. Lightly traveled and mostly along side the outlet creek. The fog was a bonus.

Foggy morning. Southern Oregon Coast, 2009.

Despite frost this morning, garden babies are happy as can be inside their greenhouse and under frost-gard at night. Definitely grown in the last week, but more importantly, they look happier. A couple of direct-sown lettuce sprouts, and transplanted spinach (which I may regret). #Garden
