Here’s where I’m struggling with your thought… wouldn’t defining someone as a clinical psychopath absolve them of their capacity to make decisions? If so, wouldn’t they then be absolved of their guilt & complicity in a court of law? I, personally, can’t give that free pass

No biggie - I raised two kids and survived years of mostly being ignored only to now regularly get “Hey dad…” txts (and some calls). So being ignored is another love language - er ah um, or something like that ;-)
