Funny how the Heritage Foundation – architects of Project 2025 and self‑styled guardians of “family values,” a “biblically ordered” America – have nothing to say about the full release of the Epstein files.

MTG beat them to it.
And they say Americans don’t understand irony?

Let that sink in.🤔

SOMETHING GOOD.

This is Ahmad. He as you can see, is recovering in hospital after disarming one of the shooters at Bondi Beach. Australians have donated over 1 million dollars towards his recovery. He is such a hero.

Interesting how once it became known he was a Syrian immigrant and a Muslim, the ABC and all the right wing media suddenly lost interest in in the “Hero of Bondi”. I wonder why that is. 🤔

The ACA isn't just "health care for people who don't have a conventional employer." It also disallows something that was incredibly common 20 years ago, which I fear is getting lost to generational memory: insurance companies could deny you health care for essentially any previous health problem.
I'm dubious about Amazon's commitment to keeping pre-existing conditions a thing of the past.

One citizen said that federal agents in Idaho pointed guns at her children, ages 6 and 8, and dragged her 14-year-old daughter out of a truck and zip-tied her.

The mother told investigators that an agent threatened to “fucking blow your head off.”

Q: "Why are Donald Trump's hands bandaged, and why are bruises sloppily covered with makeup?"

What's striking about Trump's lies, and those of his apologists, is that they're not even plausible. They don't try to be plausible. As others have noted, that's kind of the point. True authoritarian control and power is telling a blatant and obvious lie, and showing you can get away with it.
Q: Can you explain what's going on with the bandages on Trump's hand?

LEAVITT: We've given you an explanation. The president is literally constantly shaking hands.

Ahmed al Ahmed is a selfless Muslim man who nearly singlehandedly saved a Jewish community being attacked on the first day of Hanukkah.

And took two bullets while doing so.

A fucking hero.

Ahmed Al Ahmed, is 43, a father of 2 and owner of a fruit shop in Sutherland, Australia.
Yesterday, he disarmed a terrorist targeting a Hanukkah celebration at Bondi Beach where 12 humans were killed.

Ahmed was unarmed. He was shot twice and is expected to make a full recovery. Hero. 💔

This is fucking grim. Somebody invented a white guy, an "IT professional" named Edward Crabtree, who stopped the Bondi shooting and spread it all over the internet, which was picked up by AI agents and slop aggregation sites.

The real hero is a fruit stand owner named Ahmed el Ahmed.

All true, but I believe it's more than that. Polls have shown a substantial majority of Americans support sensible gun legislation. But our politics are broken because of money and gerrymandering, and Republicans feel free to ignore what people think. Safe seats are bad for democracy.

It's utterly insane, but statistically probably unsurprising, that there was more than one Brown student who had previously experienced a mass school shooting, including one who was actually shot, @miatretta.bsky.social.

It doesn't have to be this way.

If you’ve been holding off in hopes of a last-minute deal…don’t wait any longer. Enroll before Monday night.
