Appointment update. My hematologist is concerned that my hemoglobin has dropped almost 2 points in a year, and it’s the lowest it’s ever been. So repeat labs in 3 weeks. 🫤💉

Lab results are a bit scary. Red blood count & hemoglobin are down, which makes my anemia worse. My glucose & liver function tests have spiked, due to stress-induced chocolate binges and Tylenol use from chronic pain. Life is really stressing me out. 😩

A month ago, we ran our A/C all day and night. Early fall temps were way above normal.

You know it’s fall in the Midwest when the heated seats and steering wheel in your car feel good in the morning but then you have to turn on your car’s A/C in the afternoon. 🥶🥵

Same. Physical therapy and pain meds help, and I go in for injections in my back tomorrow.

Chronic pain is very tiring. I’ll be going on two years next March for my neck and back pain. I hope yours eases.

Today is #WorldMDSday. I was diagnosed with MDS, a rare blood cancer, in 2022. I have good days and not so good days, but with the help of proactive doctors and amazing friends, I keep going. Hopefully one day there will be a cure.
