I have been dabbling in model trains more and more, so I figured I'd post my stuff somewhere that isn't Twitter.

To celebrate the 80th, here is my model of the most splendid red engine you ever did see. I took a stock standard James and slightly modified him. I thought about some of the issues I had with TVS James and went about fixing things. I also added a neat little tender cab to make him unique. (1/5)

He probably should’ve cared more about a few spills

I wanted Beatrice and Cora to match so I repainted her roof too.

It's high time I made more stuff for the narrow gauge clan. I made and printed my own Beatrice files and everything.

I also revamped Anna-Maria too. She keeps her same color, but I added a few details. Her lining is a bit more vibrant now too. Part of me wants to weather her since she's a more industrial engine, but she looks so smart it has me thinking twice.

I decided my Thomas should look a tad more traditional this time around. Still put my own flair on it mind you.

Tried (and failed) to fight the light blue Thomas agenda

People shouldn't treat Trainz like its the only simulator game that people should use to make that kind of content. People like Tines and ScotsmanReturns show how to film cinematic stuff in Trainz and Train Simulator, but I feel like other programs should get a similar attention.

I finally found a face to fit my terrier

I've been experimenting with making OO9 buffers and realized Cora is painted in a darker shade of blue than she should be in that condition. She's going in for a repaint into a more SKR esque livery. I might also paint Millie similar to how she is in the show.

So I've been on a Buried Truck fix for a bit so here's a model I whipped up kinda fast - Ethel. She's only a static model for now but I'm sure there's some way to do it

Found a Bachmann Peter Sam for a decent price so I jumped on it

Had an idea for a static model

Guys it's obviously Geoffrey

I changed Toby's livery a bit and also completely overhauled Henrietta. I didn't want to be basic and just use the Bachmann one so she's put together with a bunch of parts I had spare.

(Bonus) This project was a long time coming and I'm sad it's done. I'm also glad I had it done in time for today. I think James may be some of my best work so far. Once I get my hands on some more crew figures, he can really be a working engine again. Despite that he's still our splendid red engine.

The final touches were a new safety valve and whistle, a copper cap around the chimney and his iconic brass dome. I also added some pieces of cardboard to act as stepladders until I can make better ones. I took the standard face, glued it down and James was done. (5/5)

I went through and lined out the whole Loco. Its nothing too fancy, but it serves well. My fleet wears my take on a North Western logo, so James' 5 was moved to his cab sides. I found some card and cut a piece to fill the gap in the cab. I glued the backhead down and continued lining. (4/5)
