Learning some UI elements.
And a bottom sheet, learning the common UI parts
Got top bar working and moved screens to seperate files
I don’t because I want the highest level of privacy first my app users.
when I say beginner I mean new to Android development. Not to coding in general.

If I had no coding knowledge, probably would have given up. 😜
Welp, got an understanding of Jetpack Compose Navigation 3.

I think I might do a blog series of my learning because not one tutorial or video really helped on its own. I watched a ton of videos and tutorials and had to piece it together from various sources.

Nothing for a beginner.
Not true. If you delete preview app it will choose another photo editing app installed. There is no way to force it to open in files. You have to use quick look.
Why isn’t @realgdt.bsky.social Frankenstein playing at every theatre? It’s Frankenstein and it’s spooky season.
I have an M1 MBPro and want to upgrade with lots of ram for local LLM but I think I should wait until M6
To get an app on Android to look and function similar to iOS is a lot more code, imports and files in general. The imports seem like it could be something random without clear guidelines on what you should be using.

Even the starter projects when creating a new app seem outdated.
All the news is fake propaganda and lies run by billionaires
I’ve been moving from using something like react native for Android dev to Jetpack Compose.

Compose seems to require a lot more boiler plate than SwiftUI.

It feels more like a jagged dependency mess than a cohesive framework.
So, AGI failed and they are pivoting to sex bots. LOL
The California verification should be standard. Let parents control what their children have access to.
Why are all cross platform (react native, flutter, kotlin multiplatform) more complicated than just doing the native device framework? Are you really gonna have the same UI for mobile, desktop and web?

I tested out Kotlin multiplatform and couldn’t even get it running after four hours!
Create reusable code pieces that are use from project to project and you won’t need to remember everything. Document everything in the code.

I hope you'll take a moment for these beautiful parting words from the incomparable Jane Goodall.

(And she threw in a little salt for the evil ones, too)
Seems app intents could be used from their “AI”
AI isn’t that great?
She can start by fixing all the potholes in the city!
