An undead Abomination whose powers could amount to anything. This is because the tattoos of mummies are corporeal and weaponized by the monster. The ink inside of their body will come to life at their will, leaving behind a blank spot on where the tattoo once was until it is recalled. These attacks are considerably strong, but the Abomination isn’t particularly durable. Tattered Mummies are thought to not be preserved for very long, what with a lack of visible bone structures. Their skin is still rather dry however, with softer skin being found under their “bandages,” which are sometimes comprised of unusual materials, such as receipts and washi. Even their hair assumes the consistency of cloth. They are capable of raspy speech, but mostly communicate in sounds and body language. Some tattoos are purely decorative, and do not serve them a purpose in battle. A common tattoo mummies have is of the moon phases, always inked in across their chest. One of their nipples is inked yellow to represent the full moon, the other remaining as is. That must've really hurt, along with the snake tattoo

200th post!! Spooky Series is go! The series will be all about making your usual Halloween haunts a little less traditional in appearance! So here's a vampire! She's based off of a larger variety of vampiric animals, with some adaptations!

Erebian Vampires are Abominations that take after the human beliefs and fears of vampires. Combined with a variety of hematophagic creatures, these vampires consist of vampire bats, lampreys, and above all, the blood puddling butterfly, Erebia Medusa. Interestingly, they take the form of a lamia, and have snakes in their hair. These snakes also have fangs for sucking blood, as opposed to injecting venom. These snakes are unique for a handful of reasons, one being their diet of blood, two being that they are endotherms despite being reptiles, and three being that they are the only poisonous snake in existence due to their diet. They are not venomous. Erebian Vampires also have a lamprey leech hybrid on the tip of their tail; they aim for the hearts of large animals with it. It is not usually an easy target though, so many prefer to use their sharp proboscis or fangs. Vampires are also unique in that the entire body is half warm blooded and half cold blooded; they are warm from the hips up. Though they can keep warm in their tail by sunbathing, they also get heat from preying on warm blooded animals. The hair on their backs keeps their top half from getting too cold, which can come with exertion. As such, they usually only fly when in danger. These vampires can be nocturnal or diurnal, as they've adapted darker skin to resist the sun. They hunt with their great sense of smell and hearing, combined with decent vision as well. They end up grooming rather often, ironically falling host to a number of ticks, which they will stab with their proboscis and drink their blood back as food. They are oddly fearful of flora, and detest the blood sucking bramble of the Tread-me-Knots native to Qiwaki. They are native to sunny areas that lie around or above 80°F(26.6°C).
Bod Bacti seem incredibly antagonistic to them, sometimes straight up slaughtering them. Vampires are thus rightfully afraid of them

11th of the Zodiac Beasts, Pisces! Their names are Turnanine and Coervanine, representing orbit, as well a rings. They retain harmony in solar systems, aligning lines of orbit to perfect ellipses

That leaves one more beast...

Turnanine on the left, and Coervanine on the right, the Eleventh Zodiac Beast. The rotated constellation for Pisces can be seen in the background, with Eta Piscium, the brightest star of the constellation, being larger and brighter than the other stars. You thought Pisces would be last!! I ain’t going in order. Not gonna lie, the “anine” parts in their name are just kinda for flavor, you could call them Turn and Swerve for short (pronounced 'swerve'- uh- neen). Coervanine’s name is a play on words of coelacanth, an ancient fish that is still extant, and the word swerve…only because they both start with an “s” sound. The names make no sense, but eh. Sounds cool enough. Turnanine is based on a sturgeon, mixed with a swordfish, combined with a tusk protruding from his head, and is more representative of orbit in general, whereas his mate Coervanine represents orbit more in terms of rings. She determines all the materials that go into the rings that create spectacular displays. They are more often than not seen moving around an orb of Amethyst, the birthstone of Pisces, gliding along space all while orbiting the ball. But sometimes, they can be observed playing with it, or even separated altogether. When separated, Turnanine moves erratically, usually in sharp and sudden 90 degree turns, whereas Coervanine moves in a haphazard serpentine pattern. She adjusts her speed sinusoidally for no given reason. Turnanine can accelerate himself as suddenly as he can come to a complete stop; instantaneously. Though they are unpredictable in terms of movement when separated from the ball, they are also more vulnerable to attack.

It’s a whole short story, but you asked for it! I put it in the alt text cuz a thread would be too long for my tastes. The origins of the protagonist of my story, Harmonie! This is all before the events of Rudimental, which is still pretty much 2% done right now.

Ok so…
Basically the world Harmonie lives in, humans aren’t at the top of the food chain anymore, thanks to instances of space weather that alter the environment and can strengthen Abominations, varieties of humanoid or other monsters that mostly terrorize life(some are friendlier). This leads to humans evolving to be much more reserved in their survival. Harmonie wasn’t into this; she is very curious by nature, and wants to see all of what the world has to offer, even in shady places like ruined cities and such. It’s also worth noting that almost no one knows how most technology works, so that adds to her curiosity!
Her parents detested this, being firm believers in “Curiosity killed the cat,” along with her younger siblings, who never really paid much attention to Harmonie, even when she wanted to play. When she reached adolescence, Harmonie took matters into her own hands, getting in a fight with her parents and ultimately leaving her family to investigate new parts of her country, Igi. She manages just fine on her solo excursion, being the first born and thoroughly educated on survival skills. She ends up needing to wait out a blizzard in the abandoned city, which she could sense coming, due to an unusual sensitivity to air pressure in her ears. Of course, without Harmonie, her family could not have predicted the blizzard, which traps them in an avalanche, where they ultimately all freeze to death while foraging in mountains without Harmonie. Having heard the avalanche, Harmonie investigates and soon sees that her family is dead, after taking a fruit that stuck out in the snow pile, which was grasped by her mother’s frozen hand. Despite her only familiars being dead now, Harmonie didn’t feel sad at all, as they just felt like burdens for her life until now. Wiping the fruit clean, Harmonie says to the fruit, “You and I aren’t so different, huh?” and leaves, her survival all to herself. The apple fell far from the tree, oooo symbolism!

Antagonist Series, GO! I present Mirette, the boss of the Sunken Manor! She's incredibly narcissistic, wishing to coat Igi in a fresh coat of nothing but her own beauty, using the blizzard machines powered by her manor!

"YOU with your horrid rat's nest! You dare to compare your greasy tresses to a pony's tail!? You think you can make ME stop gracing this eyesore of a country with my luxe locks!? You ought to revel over my beauty and live in envy over the woman whose only suitable partner is herself, Madam Mirette! But since it seems you lack any sliver of brainpower, I'll instead see to it that your species is entombed in an eternal layer of permafrost!"

Madam Mirette, an antagonist in Rudimental, and the mastermind of the Sunken Manor, and the prolonged blizzard that it generates. The snow carried by the blizzard machine is shed hair ice from Mirette herself, who still keeps a hefty head of hair for herself, thanks to her many solutions for growing hair. These solutions are also suitable to fight others, her blow dryer being repurposed into a cryogenic cannon, powered by her strong affinity for Glacios. Mirette is a passionate narcissist, falling in love with and considering herself as her significant other. At some point, she tried falling for one other than herself, but she soon realized it was far easier to change the flaws of oneself than to try and force it upon others to fit her exact needs. At this point she literally got a tattoo of herself on her right arm, along with a sleeve and some others. She often finds herself admiring her body in mirrors, adorning it with sensual clothes and accessories, or even au naturale. She considers her body a separate entity from her mind, thus explaining her delusional love of it, caring for it greatly and even holding a mirror designed in an hourglass shape, in order to keep her body perfect to her mind's tastes.

So yeah she thinks the world revolves around her and she's also kinda fatphobic, so beat her ass, Harmonie!

yuuup thanks to work I actually had to make an effort to get up today! Doesn't help to not get complete sleep on a warm night and then the power goes out for a while, combined with having come back from a long swimming session.

Surprisingly no! For me it's a lot more of a passing thought though cuz I'd say a handful of them smell bad and then I just go ew and move on haha. I don't like thinking of the smell of burnt hair, preservatives, the ocean, stuff like that
