Today, I joined our community leaders at UITC - Juneteenth Commemoration to honor freedom, unity, and African American heritage. As Yvette Clarke stated, “Let us never forget that Black history continues to define American history.”

Yesterday, I had a great meeting with our Mayor, Tod Gloria, in his office in San Diego. He is a great leader, listener, & supporter, and whenever I meet him, I feel empowered & inspired. With his outstanding leadership and vision, he is rapidly improving San Diego & making it a city for all of us.
