Large portions of US will experience frigid temperatures late this week with another on its tail.

In 2026 there is still 'Old Man Winter' (severe winter weather), it just tends to be more fleeting episodes, but it will still occur within warming climate.

The earlier UKMO looks increasingly isolated and without support. See its output on left and compare with latest GEFS mean on Sunday with separation of troughing. The first phase a cleaner and colder east feed to end this week is locking into place.

The GFS 18z is catastrophic for our winter foe the stratospheric polar vortex with a massive split. It would be a big struggle to recover in Feb.

The Charter’s preamble frames existing institutions as "failed" or "dependency generating" to position this Board as the nimble alternative. It’s an anti-institutional narrative designed to delegitimise standard multilateral governance to make room for a personalised substitute.
