FIL is home! We went to pick him up from the hospital earlier today! This was way quicker than anticipated, which is good on multiple levels.

I came out to my family nine years ago this evening. Since things went south because of my relationship (not being gay), I sometimes regret coming out and pursuing a relationship with anyone.

1. Feeling extremely down that a person from my graduating class is at the end of her life. We talked a lot in HS, but not much sense. I still feel for her and her family.

2. Feeling worried as one of my former, graduated students is missing right now. I hope she is found safe and sound soon.

I like how they gave the Nobel Prize to someone fighting for democracy in Venezuela, instead of someone sinking fishing boats off their coast.

When Rand Paul and Marjorie Taylor Greene are making “sense”, you KNOW that shitshow of a so-called party has jumped the shark.

The “ANTIFA reign of terror” in Portland continues with inflatable animal costumes of every sort! A wizard frog backed down an entire hoard of icicles.

The President of the United States, the guy who swore to protect the Constitution, just called for two elected officials to be thrown in jail. No charges, no trial, just “lock ’em up.” Like a tin-pot dictator barking orders from his gilded mansion.

If you think Trump cares about peace
more than Trump cares about Trump;
wait for his reaction
when someone else wins the Nobel Prize.

Doing my night class via GoogleMeet tonight due to going back and forth between Indy and here every day since Tuesday. I didn’t want to drive to Anderson to teach for 90 minutes and then drive back.

THANKFUL FOR THE TECHNOLOGY TO BE ABLE TO DO THIS.

MIL arrived announced to go to Indy. We weren’t planning on going until later due to her stated plans for this morning. She changed that without telling us. We aren’t ready & laundry was being done since we are behind.

Also, this is turning into a who can out bitch who event between B and his mom.

"99.97 percent of families, even when given the option, chose to let their children learn about LGBTQ+ people."
Nice result, and it reinforces everything Montgomery County said to SCOTUS before its theocrats made their dehumanizing ruling. open.substack.com/pub/erininth...

1. In a devastating new Pew Research Survey, only 3 in 10 transgender adults report being accepted by their parents.

And only 1 in 10 say they are accepted by their extended family.

This is the lowest number ever found in surveys asking similar questions.

FIL got out of the ICU this evening and is in his own room. 🙌🙌🙌 Just got home for the evening. Back to Indy tomorrow.

Exhausted as we left home at 4 am for the hospital in Indy. Just got home twenty minutes ago. The surgery went well for FIL. He looked pretty good when we saw him before leaving. He wasn’t supposed to be awake tonight, but he’s made some good progress.
