Just checking something out, so primarily social media is for attractive or talented people to post pictures of themselves, their work, or their twitch channels to the rest of us untalented uggos to follow, compliment, and consume? Asking for a friend...

So back to our Chronicles of Drunagor campaign last night. Of all the campaign games we've played I genuinely think this might be the best campaign game out there.

The combat is fast and innovative, story exists, and leveling up is exciting and fun.

Highly recommended!

#boardgames #DiceThrone

I just got my copy of #DiceThrone:Outcasts and I am really excited to play it. I adore the spooky characters. I primarily play it in adventure mode.

Do you guys enjoy Dice Throne? Who's your favorite character? Do you play adventure mode? My favorite is Paladin

So I got my copy of #Dieinadungeon an interesting deck builder, town builder, dungeon crawler. They give you 2 sets of dice who act as heroes. 12 side is a War Priest, 20 is a Berzerker etc.

Have any of you played it? Love the use of colors, and
art style. It's a solo/2 player game.

#Boardgames #Sologaming

How do you motivate yourself to play a solo board game as opposed to playing something on console/PC.

Think for me board games are primarily a social event, so I struggle to play solo board games. Asking because I meant to play #Witchcraft but lost my motivation 😑

#Boardgames

So we are getting into Kingdoms Forlorn tomorrow. I think this will work for my group as it's solo operative so if people miss we can still play.

Kingdoms Forlorn is a dark fantasy campaign game. I think I spent more on this game than any other. Think I was over 500 pounds deep in it.

#Boardgames So we played a 6 player game of Guards of Atlantis 2.

Such a fantastic game, my team lost but everyone had a blast and it was competitive through out.

We usually play with 4 but had the opportunity to play with 6. I recommend you play it if you ever get the chance.

So we played Defenders of Grimhelm last night and it was not one of my favorites if I'm honest.

It's a tower defense game with spells, monsters

Art was a bit too cartoony, gameplay underwhelming, and the mechanics left a lot to be desired.

Friends rated it a 6 I'd say 4.

In an effort to play more solo games I am playing Gateway Uprising. It's a deck building area control game.

It has fantastic art and really great gameplay. This is a mod by someone on Bgg.

boardgamegeek.com/thread/22555...

You should get Gateway Uprising it's an amazing fun game.

Just got my butt kicked by Gate. I don't normally play during the week but I got the urge.

Gate is a Jason Glover game and he has some fantastic small tin games (Gate, Tin Helm, Tin Realm)

You can grab them at
www.thegamecrafter.com

Maybe I will next game

A friend introduced me to Flip 7 and I was like I don't want to play that. As I usually stay away from lighter games.

But I really enjoyed it, well finally its back in stock. Grabbed on Amazon for 7 - 8 bucks, you should try it.

Absolutely worth it at that price!

So we played Uprising Curse of the Last Emperor last night, and we had a blast this game is amazing.

It's a fantasy 4x Co op game with a fantastic dark setting, amazing art, and lots of army management.

There is of course magic, monsters, and building your settlements and army.

#Boardgames #Arydia

So had to end my campaign, we were going on week 4 of not playing.

That being said I'd recommend you get your hands on it sooner than later as I don't think they will reprint or at least not to the US.

Maybe I'm wrong though, who knows

Someone sent me a copy of The Crows of Coppershell Bay a tiny tin solo game by Paul Stapleton (Pauper's Ladder)

It's a solo adventure game in that same world of Pauper's Ladder. You borrowed money from the crows and you need to pay it back.

You decide how to do that.

Maybe some of those companies should shut down. We have gotten away from conveying neat ideas, cool art, and fun mechanics to making money being the primary focus.

So shift the focus back to making good, affordable games. Cut the bloat, and stop focusing on making 300 minis the point.

With the Tariffs and how it's going to affect Board games. Take this as an opportunity to play some of those unplayed games instead of backing new crowd funded games.

We all get caught up with what's new, what's hot when it makes more sense to play what you already have.

For me HoMM3

#Boardgames #Usedgames

So I bought Maximum Apocalypse from someone on Bgg and I realized I prefer buying used to new.

Yeah there is a risk in buying used, but you can find some amazing deals that way.

Do you guys buy used games or only new? I'm curious as to who buys used vs new only.
April 14, 2025 at 8:43 PM
#Boardgames #Tariffs

Just refunded the first of many backed kickstarted games. I am not paying those ridiculous tariffs.
April 9, 2025 at 6:54 PM
#Boardgames #Unplayedgames

Next on my list is Cryptic Explorers.

It's a 1 vs many. The concept is corporations have found a way into the realm of death and want to steal the secrets of magic.

They send in teams to recover them knights, werewolves etc.

Death won't stand for that and fights back.

#Boardgames

Much like my sex life these games remain untouched and unplayed.

The first is #7thCitadel a fantastic follow up to 7th Continent. I was so excited for this but now just sits unloved on my shelf. Maybe with the idiocy going on with tariffs I will be buying less games and will get to it

#Boardgames #Arydia

So let's see we explored an ice cave and were attacked by the undead.

Uncovered an invasion of Kobolds lead by a strong mysterious leader and repelled it.

Was fun lot of fighting though, so less exploring.

#Boardgames #Sologaming

Playing some #WitchCraft fantastic solo game, with amazing art and compelling game play.

I don't play many solo games, but I do enjoy this one. I suspect I prefer interacting with my friends more than playing solo.

Tonight more #Arydia

#Boardgames #Sellingyourgames

Follow up on my post yesterday, to price games I look at a few sources Board Game Geek Market, Ebay, and retail. Then I price within those numbers depending how valuable the game is.

If you aren't playing them they are just taking up space, sell them, get new games.
April 4, 2025 at 5:38 PM
#Boardgames #SellingUsedGames

Unless you are a collector I always advocate to people to sell the old games they don't play. It's a good way to get funds to buy new games.

I use Facebook marketplace to sell games, I only sell locally, for more expensive items I do sell on ebay, but there are risks

#Boardgames #DungeonDegenerates #CozyEuro

One of my favorite, euro games on the market #DungeonDegenerates it promotes such a chill vibe.

I always have a relaxed, and soothing time when I play this. Maybe it's the use of bland colors, or the mechanics I find relaxing.

What are your fave euros?

#Boardgames #TheDarkQuater

I don't think I've been more indifferent in regards to receiving a Kickstarter game.

The app that is necessary to run the game isn't available yet.

But it was packaged well and arrived safely, so that's something.

Just a general feeling of #Meh in regards to the game.
