A marker pole in the ancient North American city of Cahokia probably stood 60 feet tall and weighed 11,000 pounds. One surviving piece has now been dated to A.D. 1124, and the tree probably had to be floated to the city!

A cuneiform tablet has been deciphered to reveal a lost Sumerian myth. The rain god Ishkur was captured in the underworld, causing chaos on Earth, and a lone fox set out to free him. But the ending of the story remains unknown.

In this episode, we discuss several cases in history where a disease has helped people, acting as a shield to protect them from great harm. All of these cases occurred during World War 2, and were carried out by physicians doing their best to protect those targeted by the Nazis.
