Pretty sure OG Floppy doom had mouse turning. No vertical aiming but mouse turning was there.

Hell, all the way back in DOS Doom I bound movement to numpad and space to shoot! I didn't even know mouse look was possible until Quake!

I don't user standard WASD in most FPS games.

I use WERC (e forward, c backward) Opening up ASDFG for extra functions. I bind right-click to jump and A for secondary fire/ADS.

Mouse 4 and 5 (if i have them) for melee. I UNBIND Mouse3
