Aerospace, engineering, all things design, and some other stream of consciousness posting. I design parts for jet engines and always feel like I should be pushing my boundaries. Raised in Georgia, but found a second home in Korea.

All of other things besides, can we all just agree that "Arc de Trump" is an awful name? For all the talk of being a designer and a "perfectionist", the dude really has one of the worst last names for promoting or leaving his mark.
Today's cool music recommendation is Queens of the Stone Age's recent EP. Cool because it was recorded in the Catacombs beneath Paris. Doesn't get much more rock than that

Exhuma. Korean horror movie. Not terribly scary, but just an all-around good movie and it focuses on part of Korean culture not typically seen in the recent Korean wave, which is neat
Prediction: The Supreme Court will uphold Trump's appeal to remove Lisa Cook from the Fed board through the use of the shadow docket, postponing the decision about whether it is actually legal to remove Fed board members until later. This will give Teump another position on the board.
The president should not have control over the economy, nor over the country's purse strings. The president should not have unchecked authority.
Presidents should not have cryptocurrencies. Vice Presidents should not be on boards governing how American institutions tell the story of America. Supreme Court members should not be the leaders of such boards. And people with zero qualifications should not be put in positions of power for loyalty.
Well, I can only expect the LCID stock price to go up from here. I imagine (read: "hope"; please, increase this stock) thousands of fans will flock to buy one now.

The tariffs-being-good-for-the-automotive-industry thing would sound a lot more palatable if the US actually had a meaningful lineup of vehicle options. Most US vehicle models are incredibly ugly, outrageously expensive, and there is no such thing as a quality sedan. There's a reason we import.
If you have at least a passing interest in architecture, as I do, check out this video from Sherlock Hyunjoon of his interview with the head of the Heatherwick firm in England. And then also follow Hyunjoon's channel because he's awesome. The conversation's in English, btw.

Let's say you think the US SHOULD be run like a company and that Trump is effectively the "CEO" of America.

Would you want to work for a company whose CEO:

Punishes people he doesn't like?
Fires people not because they're unproductive, but because he thinks they aren't loyal?

My guess is no.
NASA has successfully run the engines of the Lockheed X-59 QueSST for its Low-Boom Supersonic Demonstrator project. Cool sight to see. I hope the aircraft performs as expected. If so, then regular, supersonic air travel doesn't seem too far off down the road.

Cost of:
Eggs (one dozen)
$4.15

There is no shortage of energy fullstop. And, we are producing more gas than ever and more than any other country in history.
If you're looking for a great podcast series to binge, check out the BBC's The Coming Storm with host Gabriel Gatehouse. As if that name alone wasn't cool enough, the content of the show is utterly fascinating. Well worth the 6-ish hours per series (or "season" for my American brethren).
