I'm losing my battle with loud restaurants. It's not so much the noise - I can handle it fine when solo - it's trying to engage with people with that noise. My brain tries to split down the middle. I'm going to start wearing my Loop earplugs. Anti-social maybe but I don't care.

I guess when you own your land, you don't necessarily own the air above that land.
The photo was taken in New York City, specifically in the Gramercy neighborhood of Manhattan (based on the "Gramercy Ale House" signage). My doctor of 20 years passed away. He was one of the brightest people I knew and above all, really listened and considered every angle both medicinal and holistic. He was beloved in his community and was working in this year in spite of his own ailing health. I'll miss him.

As I abstain from using Amazon for my gifts, it's hard to step away 100%. My company used Elfster for our secret Santa which asks you to make a wishlist. It only accepts items that are on Amazon. My relatives ask me to share my wishlist... Well you're just gonna work it out folks. Sorry!
