‪School closed so I’ve given myself the day off too and in solidarity with the teen, I haven’t even bothered to get dressed. Feels like a proper skive! Occasional perks of working for yourself. ❄️

Too kind 🙌

One is impossible, I’ve a few music sides to me. However, if we’re going dancing then I’ll go Frankie Knuckles, Your Love. But then there’s Raze Break 4 Love, Kariya, Let Me Love You For Tonight, Gino Latino, Welcome. They all take me right back to 88/89 good times. You?

Good to hear that. Hoping he’ll bounce back and have a more good years. As you can see, he’s a stressful life!

Haha! I’ve no tv, listening to old tunes and holding off on the wine in case I make an arse of myself and have to leave in shame.

Govan Irish Club, Victoria St. Govan c 1910. My Great Grandpa & Grandma (Jack from Co. Mayo and Mary, from Govan) ran the club. Have been looking for more information on the Club on T/X but not had much luck - wonder if anyone on Bluesky land can help? Repost also appreciated?

Rebel vicars sons, love it 😂 He did listen to other stuff (shared love of blues), but Gaelic singers and dance music was his thing - the longer he was away from his beloved Scotland. Mum was Joplin, Baez, Mamas and Papas. Quite an eclectic household!

My sister was mainly jazz funk/soul etc. I was indie and 50/60s/rockabilly. My brother metal/rock. My dad ruled the roost with Scottish dance music 😂

Rooting through a box of old cassette tapes and have fallen into a teenage hole. My sister and I had VERY different music tastes, but I’m back in our room getting ready to go out listening to her tunes. Have to say that Barry White’s version of It’s Only Love is excellent!
