I actually love that Übel portrait even though its older and from a time I was still deep deep in study mode. At the time, I felt powerful when I drew it. That can be a rare feeling with how artists perceive their own art.

I sorta struggled with this for a long time since I don't think many resources explain the application well but: yes if you want to draw anime you can use the loomis method

Very important detail: the loomis method is literally just drawing a (flattened) ball with a cross defining the direction

I give up hanging out with my friends every sunday to practice my art. Not because I think that my friends aren't worth it and not because I just am so privileged I don't need friendship but because I understand that making art is valuable to me as a person.
