I think, killing Joel in TLOU2 achieved the exact reaction Druckmann was aiming for.
Joel did a shitty selfish thing.
He got what was coming to him but also player is supposed to be grief-struck, frustrated and angry.
If we gonna talk about games as art we need to respect artistic intention.
