Can't say I'm buying into the whole "The Sleeping Giant Awakens" narrative yet, but said Giant definitely threw a forearm. It was a good night. What will be interesting now is to see if any members of Congress notice which way the wind is blowing & start to quietly tack away from MAGA.

USAID, a program that allowed the US to help developing countries in myriad ways for a relative pittance & was a great soft power generator, had a budget of a little over 30B for FY2024. USAID is dead & we're bailing out Milei/Argentina for 40B. This is beyond infuriating.

While discussing Kimmel w/ my wife, she made the comment that he played a part in creating what is now called the "manosphere." I find it hard to wrap my head around the idea that The Man Show's beer & boob jokes gave rise to the Andrew Tates of the world, but does she have a point?
