I hate to be the one constantly banging on about rural America but I cannot stress enough how catastrophic voucher programs are for schools already hanging by a thread. Kids literally can’t get to school, don’t have books when they get there, and can’t access any enrichment programs.

I am fairly confident that the fact I had being working 30-40 hour weeks for two years by the time I turned 18, mostly in restaurants and doing farm labor, explains a lot differences in my perceptions of this job vs some others’ perceptions.
