Good news! The South Dakota Senate Health and Human Services Committee defeated medical cannabis repeal and potency cap bills. A landslide 70% of voters approved medical cannabis protections in 2020. Legislators need to honor the will of the people.

Under current Utah law, possession of as little as an ounce of marijuana can result in a six-month jail sentence. There is no reason for a minor infraction like cannabis possession to land a person in jail or carry life-altering consequences.
